Johnny Osbourne debuted with the classic ‘All I Have Is Love’ for Studio One and soon moved on to record the sensational ‘Come Back Darling’ for Winston Riley. Johnny moved to Canada soon after going on to record two albums with the Ishan People before returned to Jamaica in 1979 to reunite with Coxson Dodd and record a run of must own tunes including the essential ‘Truth & Right’s album. Top quality hit albums followed for Jammy (‘Fally Ranking’), Winston Riley (‘Warrior’) Junjo (‘Fally Lover’ and ‘Never Stop Fighting’) and Linval Thompson (‘Nightfall’) and as the music moved into the dancehall years Johnny continued to reign supreme with hit after hit for King Jammy, Bobby Digital, Top Rank, Jah Thomas etc. Still recording and touring to this day Johnny Osbourne is truly one of Jamaica’s reggae greats.
